Al Bushra, jazakum Allah Khairan for this prep poem for Ramadaan.
I am so looking forward to Ramadaan...Alhamdulillah...this life is beautiful, when it is spent in submission to Allah...and may our submission be at the highest level during Ramadaan...And may Allah accept our efforts...Ameen

Ramadan Mubarak!
on September 24, 2006 2:04 PMSalaam:
This Ramadaan aim for excellence by setting goals that are not part of your daily norms...
So for example:
1- First start with a sincere Niyaah to do an extra act of ibadaah during Ramadaan....then comes the action and an effort to accomplish this.
2- If Taraweeh is not part of your normal ibadaah, then aim to atleast do 8 rakah. If you do 8 rakah as normal, aim to do 20 rakah, insha'Allah.
2- Aim to do Qiyam-al-Layl (tahajjud) prayers. If you do Qiyaam-al-layl then increase the time while at it.
3- If you recite Quraan, aim for a full completion of Quraan, if this is easier for you, then aim to do multiple Khatm Quraan, insha'Allah.
4- If you do monthly sadakah, aim to give sadakah every Friday of Ramaddan. If you already do this, then give sadakah every day (even a dime will do), insha'Allah.
5- If you havent hosted any muslim brothers/sisters to break the fast (during Iftaar) then do this atleast once. If you already do this, aim to do more frequently. Moreover, you can partnership with others to host an iftaar.
6- Do Dawah to your neighbors, if you havent done that already. An easy and pleasing way is to make gift baskets, with Dates, fresh fruits and juice bottles, alongwith a translation of Quraan and literature on Islaam and Jesus & Mariyam Alehessalaam.
7- And if you make dua (and ask for Maghfirah)...then make more dua...if you make dua once a day, try to make dua 5 times a day, start making dua before you enter your home, before you start work, before you sleep, and when you wake up, insha'Allah.
Aim for excellence-sincerely, in all your ibadah...and Allah will either give you 10 times (or more) of the reward or atleast 1 reward (by atleast making the niyaah), insha'Allah.
Dont short change yourself...if you aim for nothing...you will get nothing from Allah....and be patient with the creation of Allah, especially during Ramadaan.
Ma'Assalaama

Jazakallah Khair brother for the goals, insha allah we will implement all of them. May Allah accept it from us, and grant us best reward.
Two things to do more during ramazan:
1. First Kalima i.e. La ilaha illallah , Muhammad ur rasool Allah ( There is no god but Allah and Muhammad(saw) is prophet of Allah.
2. Astaghfaar (Repentance)
Two things to seek more from Allah:
1. Jannah ( Paradise)
2. Safety from Hell fire.
May Allah grant lailatul Qadr to all muslims.
