Sahih Bukhari
Volume 9, Book 93, Number 608:
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
[a long narration, please see previous post for entire hadith]
"...The Prophet returned to Moses who asked, "What have you done?" He said, "He has lightened our burden: He has given us for every good deed a tenfold reward.""
***********************************************
Insha Allah, I hope everyone has completed the first assignment. For those of you who did, Alahmadullilah. May Allah accept that day of fasting, accept the du'a, and give us tenfold reward for that deed.
For those of you who are just tuning in, our objective here is to complete a series of projects that are very simple and easy to do yet will give us great benefits in the Akhira insha Allah Allah subhanaa wa taala has by his mercy given us tenfold reward for every good deed that we do, so do not make light of these acts. Fasting for one day is light fasting a week and a half. Giving just one penny is like having given a dollar, giving one dollar is like having given ten. May Allah accept these acts for us and make it benefit us in the akhira.
Now, onto assignment #2, insha Allah.
Book 013, Number 4005:
Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: When a man dies, his acts come to an end, but three: recurring charity, or knowledge (by which people) benefit, or a pious son, who prays for him (for the deceased).
This week I want everyone, insha Allah, to do something that will continue to benefit them when they are in the grave. You can plant a fruit-giving tree, donate a book to a Masjid or library, write an article (passing down knowledge), or even donate a fan or a water cooler to a masjid back in the mother country.
If you give a Qu'ran to a masjid and someone reads from that Qu'ran it will benefit you insha Allah. If you donate Islamic materials to a library and someone becomes a Muslims because of reading those books then you will beneift from that Insha Allah.
If you have no money then just take the leftover seeds from an apple and put it in a pot. When that seed grows insha Allah, plant it in the ground. From that seed, insha Allah, will grow a tree and from that tree, insha Allah will come many more trees. With every apple that is eaten, every twig that used for a nest, and every time it gives someone shade you will get the benefit from it insha Allah.
So plant your seeds this week insha Allah.
Send money back home for those water coolers insha Allah.
Donate that Sahih Bukhari and that Siratul-Nabi (peace and blessings be upon him) that you never use to the Masjid insha Allah.
Donate those Islamic books to the library in your area or sponsor one through Cair insha Allah.
http://www.cair-net.org/libraryproject/
Write an article or pass down some knowledge that you know will continue to benefit people for years and years after you die insha Allah.
You have one week to complete you assignment.
May Allah accept this deed from us and give us a goodly reward for it.
Salaam:
A note to all the writers and the editors of Hidaya..your articles this week wont count towards this excersise....You guys all have imagination...Alhamdulillah...I am sure you can all come up with some creative ideas for Sadaqah Jareeyah...Insha'Allah.

I read that the Saudi authorities have sentenced 3 "reformers" to several years in prison. The supposedly guilt of these people was that they were asking for a change towards constitutional monarchy from the current "absolute" monarchy.
OK, I am not any political science student. But my question is this...does Saudi Arabia needs to have a contitutional monarchy and that they should have parliments and such? Are the royal family of Sauds the Best adminstration for Saudis and Saudi Arabia?
See, I would like to envision Medina as the Islamic Capital of the Muslim Ummah...I would like to see a great Parliment/Shura/assembly/ council which has the representations of all muslims (in all languages) in deciding the Best for the Ummah. I would like to see this shura take lead in the Humanitarian efforts and act of mercy to all the improvished fellow human beings across the globe. Also, this assembly will tackle all the spiritual, social, economical and political issues of our ummah and spread the good for the rest of world....
hmmm...is it imposiible...nope, not at all.
I think its very doable..(probably not in my lifetime)...but in the next 20-50 years...very much so...Insha'Allah.
As Salaamu Alaikum
To all who are reading this:
Please try and practise these 3 simple but virtuous actions sincerly, and then pass them on to 3 or more people( Who in turn should pass them on to others) Insha Allah.Lets start a chain of knowledge, and reap the rewards insha allah
1-Nabi (SAWS) has said whoever reacites the following 3 times after Salaah shall get the full reward of Salaah. ( Tirmidhi):
Subhanaka Rabbil I’zzati ‘Amma Yasifoon
WaSalaamun 'Alal Mursaleen.
Walhamdulillahi Rabbil A’aalammen
2-Nabi (SAWS) has said something to the effect that whosoever enters a busness area( market place) and recitesthe following dua:
LAA ILAA HA ILALLAHU WAHDAHU LAA SHA REE KA LA HU
LA HOEL MOEL KU WA LA HOEL HAMDU YOUH YEE WA YOU MEE TU BE YA DE HIL KHAIR
WA HUWA 'ALAA KULLI SHAY IN QADEER.
(4TH KALIMA)
THEN ALLAH shall grant him one million rewards, forgive one million of his sins and elevate him one million times insha Allah.
3-Abu Hurayah (RA) reports that Rasulullah (SAWS) said, " Keep renewing your Iman" "O Rasulullah ( SAWS) how should we renew our Iman?" enquired the Sahaba. " Recite LA ILAAHA ILLAL-LAH very often,"was the reply.
Therefore whenever you find some time on your hands-maybe you are relaxing, waiting at a stop street, taking a walk, cooking,Whatever you are doing please let us all try and increase our Tasbih of Kalima Tayyibah insha Allah.
3 easy actions to add to your routine and boost your thawaab insha Allah.
I have not forgotten about Assignment 1.Insha Allah I will get down to doing it,even though it is passed the deadline.Better late than never.

Asalaam Aleikum Waramatullah Wabarakatu,
Insha Allah, here is a good opportunity to make sadaqa Jariya (continuous charity).
The woodbridge community (MCNJ) have finally put a down payment on a property, but they need extra money to make the closing, which is on June 24th insha Allah. For those of you who don't know, they've been renting out the Akbar restaurant for Friday prayers for almost twelve years now.
Here is the link to the website with photos of the new place insha Allah (a former church).
