This is What Makes Him Cry, Part 5 of 5

by Rami Mahmoud Elsawah

They will not there hear any vain discourse, but only salutations of Peace: And they will have therein their sustenance, morning and evening. Such is the Garden which We give as an inheritance to those of Our servants who guard against Evil. (Surat Marium, 62-63)
-------------------------

We were all born with innocence
We all smiled as a child
And laughed when we were tickled
And hugged our parents till we were tired

We played with others
And built close bonds
Cried when we were sad
Picked up one another when we would fall.

Hearts pure like little children
Who cared more for toys than the toil of men
Whose eyes still shine bright glimmering wide
A reflection of hearts created purified

So how can we call ourselveslf fitrafied
When hearts have become all but petrified
It's high time we starts battling the foes inside
And leave the damning of brothers to the side

Because surely those were the most pious
Became the good and became the righteous
From the endless battles they fought inside of them
They were too weary to fight their struggling brethren

They bore faces that showed hardness
Only to oppression and to unkindness
But inside was only softness
And an innocence and gentle-heartedness
With Allah do they seek forgiveness
Because they are afraid of losing their innocence

This man was indebted for his creation
For his eyesight and his mind
But today he is just thankful
To his Sustainer and Creator
For guiding him from darkness
For just allowing him to cry.

masha Allah a beautiful ending!

"We played with others

Cried when we were sad
Picked up one another when we would fall.

Hearts pure like little children
Who cared more for toys than the toil of men
Whose eyes still shine bright glimmering wide
A reflection of hearts created purified"

i think it's important that no matter how old we are or become, we still keep in touch with the child within us
